The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) acting in its role as the airport land use commission (ALUC) for the counties of Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba has prepared an airport land use commission (ALUC) for the counties of Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba has prepared an airport land use compatibility plan (ALUCP) for Sacramento International Airport. The ALUCP, which has prepared pursuant to the requirements of the State Aeronautics Act, is a planning document intended to promote compatibility between Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and its surrounding environment, which it achieves through regulating the future development of residential and non-residential uses within SMF's Airport Influence Area (AIA).
