The proposed project replacement of existing sewer vitrified clay pipe (VCP) with high density polyethylene (HDPE) and polyvinyl chloride pipes (PVC) in two segments of the Burlingame Hills Sewer Maintenance District's (BHSMD) collection system using open trench and pipe bursting construction methods. The specific segments are located along Adeline Drive (approximately 1,920 linear feet) and lower Canyon Road (approximately 2,927 linear feet). The existing 6" and 8" VCP pipes will be replaced with 10" to 12" HDPE and PVC pipes. After replacement, existing laterals along the pipe alignment will be re-connected to the new pipe. Existing brick manholes will also be replaced with concrete manholes.
