Document Description
The Mendocino County Dept. of Transportation/Solid Waste Division is proposing final closure of the South Coast Landfill in accordance with the final Closure/Post-Closure Maintenance Plan (FCPCMP) proposed by the County. closure of the SCL will be performed in accordance with the applicable regulatory standards prescribed in the CA Code of Regulation (CCR) (i.e., 27 CCR, Chapters 3 and 4 and 40 CFR, Subpart F). The components and systems required for closure of the SCL include the final cover and grading design to control storm water, potential infiltration and accommodate future settlement, landfill slope stability, construction quality assurance, drainage and erosion control systems, LFG control and monitoring systems, groundwater/surface water monitoring systems, and site security.
