Document Description
The project consists of the replacement of an existing bridge crossing Hendricks Creek on Hendricks Road (CR-402). The existing bridge is constructed of 16 timber stringers supporting a 3.5" timber deck with a 4.75" AC wearing surface. The stringers rest on timber sill plates placed on reinforced concrete abutments. A 30' long Bailey bridge is currently in use and has been placed above the existing bridge deck for temporary use. It is constructed of timber deck boards on steel floor beams supported by continuous steel trusses that are set on bearing plates resting on the existing roadway. The replacement structure will be a 7'-8" tall by 19'-10" wide, open bottom, metal box culvert that runs 60' along the length of Hendricks Creek.
