Document Description
The proposed Lindsey Slough Tidal Marsh Wetland Enhancement Project is to reestablish tidal connectionto the historic marsh and channel system and to enhance existing marsh habitat. The project elements include: excavation and debris removal to enlarge the existing north embankment breach; excavation to breach the south embankment of Calhoun Cut; excavation of a starter channel; lowering of an existing earthen causeway; upland fill placement of material excavated from the breaches; and beneficial use of sediment excavated from the starter channel to create low habitat berms within the marsh and raise the remnant marsh plain to a more mature marsh plain form.
