Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control has issued an Emergency Permit to Beale AFB to treat hazardous waste by open detonation. The items to be treated are one M25A2-Riot Control Grenade, sixty four M19A1-Rifle Grenade Illumination rounds, one M205A2-Grenade Fuze, one MK2-Grenade, one M49A1-Trip Flare, and one M2-Mortar Fuze. The items were recovered by local civilian law enforcement. Beale AFB Explosive OrdinanceDisposal personnel have determined that, due to their condition, the items are considered unsafe for shipment. The Emergency Permit is effective from May 16, 2013 through August 15, 2013, Treatment will be scheduled depending on weather, logistics, and availability of personnel.
