Document Description
Hamilton Parkway, LLC, has proposed the development of 48 senior apartment units at 801 State Access Road in the southern part of the City of Novato. The 1.65-acre site is about 0.13 mile east of U.S. Highway 101 and 0.21 mile north of Main Gate Road, the main entrance to Hamilton Field. It was purchased by the project applicant from the U.S. Navy in 2007 and was formerly used by the Navy for two Naval Exchange warehouses. One of those buildings burned down and one remains standing and is proposed for removal. The proposed project would include 48 residential units (3 studios, 41 one-bedroom units, and 4 two-bedroom units), which would house an estimated total on-site residential population of 71 persons. Units would be restricted to occupancy by persons who are age 55 and older. Community amenities would include a community center room, fitness room and game room, shared outdoor garden, bocce court, and surface parking area with carport structures.
