Document Description
GCID (Seller) proposes to transfer to SLDMWA (Buyer) up to 4,400 acre-feet net of water made available from the Sacramento River through groundwater substitution. Upon notice by SLDMWA, groundwater will be pumped from approved wells for irrigation purposes in areas that would have been irrigated with surface water diverted from the Sacramento River, July through September 2013, in the absence of the transfer. The transfer water will be made available at River Mile 206 on the Sacramento River and will flow through the natural river channels to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, where it will be pumped at the SWP Banks Pumping Plant in compliance with all applicable regulatory restrictions governing State Water Project operations. The Department of Water Resources (DWR) will deliver the transfer water to the Buyer's service area.
