Document Description
Caltrans proposes to improve safety along SR 49 in Nevada County from PM 17.09 to PM 17.42 by widening and paving the shoulders. The project is located approximately 2 miles west of Nevada City. Bicyclists use this portion of SR 49 as a link between two popular bike routes. This section of SR 49 will be much safer for motorists and bicyclists after the addition of shoulders, which will serve as a bike lane for the area bicyclists.
