The proposed project is a petition for the cancellation of Land Conservation (Williamson Act) Contract 68.129 (APN) 783-08-004. The subject 10.8 acre property is located at 10065 Burchell Rd. in Gilroy, unincorporated Santa Clara County. The proposed alternative land use for the property is a new single-family house (rebuild of an existing home), a 1,000 sf secondary dwelling and an approximate 600 sf detached workshop. The property obtained Building Site Approval to build the existing house in 1969 and no additional land use approvals are required at this time. However, building permits will be required by the County, along with onsite improvements related to fire protection, sewage disposal, water supply, and access to implement the residential improvements.
