- The GWR Project would create a reliable source of water supply from: 1) purified recycled water for recharge of the Seaside Groundwater Basin, and 2) recycled water to augment the existing Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project's agricultural irrigation supply. Water supplies proposed to be recycled and reused by the GWR Project include municipal wastewater, industrial wastewater, urban stormwater runoff, and surface water diversion.
