Document Description
The project applicant has applied to Merced County for a Major Modification (No. MM12-010) to an existing Conditional Use Permit (CUP3678) to expand the land uses currently located on site by construction an additional almond hulling and shelling plant. The proposed almond hulling and shelling plant would include an additional hammer mill, a commodity barn, a new office, auger lines, and a byproduct storage area. All of the proposed facilities would be sited within the northern portion of Merced County APN 068-190-055 (57.21 acres). The proposed almond processing plant expansion would involve an additional 61,003 sf of new construction, increasing the project facility sf from 42,690 sf to 103,693 sf.
