Vacant desert land with 2 billboards / Neighborhood Commercial under the Main Street and Freeway Corridor Specific Plan
The proposed Love's Travel Center includes truck and vehicle fueling islands, truck washing/maintenance, tire sales, and 12,271 sf of supporting commercial uses. The project site is 10.6 acres located between the I-15 Freeway and Highway 395 just south of Joshua Street. Existing land uses include a Pilot Truck Stop and Outpost Cafe to the north, vacant land to the south and west, and I-15 to the east. The project requests a change of land use designation from Neighborhood Commercial to Commercial/Industrial Business Park under the Main Street and Freeway Corridor Specific Plan. The DEIR is being recirculated in its entirety but mainly to address comments on the DEIR regarding traffic and alternatives.
