Document Description
The City of Big Bear Lake is initiating an update of the Housing Element of the General Plan for the 2013-2021 planning period. This update is state-mandated revision to the existing 2008-2014 Housing Element that was adopted in 2011. CA Government Code Section 65302(c) mandates that each city shall include a Housing Element in its General Plan. The Housing Element is required to identify and analyze existing and projected housing needs, and include statements of the City's goals, policies, quantified objectives, and scheduled programs for the preservation, improvement, and development of housing. The City, in adopting its Housing Element, must consider economic, environmental, and fiscal factors, as well as community goals as set forth in the General Plan.
