Document Description
Install the historic beacon on top of the Summit Museum in Mount Diablo State Park to complete the beacon rehabilitiation. Work will weatherproof the building connection points and the beacon base to eliminate leaks; replace the roof hatch with a lightweight version; relocate antennae and remove instrument cables and sidewall to eliminate leads; replace sidewall with new to match design and material; improve detailing around housing to eliminate water infiltration. Additional work will install a webcam to improve security and visitior services and wall-mount an 18"x18" museum plaque to describe the significance of the beacon.
