Document Description
The Closure Plan for the Facility states that all storage areas must be pressure washed and chip samples of all storage areas obtained. The Class 1* modification requests an additional clean up procedure, that is, removal of a section of the concrete floor in the Cyanide Room and a different cleanup standard. The DTSC policy for clean closure is comparable to background samples, non-detect or using a Health Risk Assessment. The requested new clean up standard is residential California Human Health Screening Levels (CHSSL's) or Residential Screening Levels or below and a standard of 5.0 milligrams per kilogram for arsenic.
