Document Description
The purpose of this project is to replace an established motorcycle trail, the Hare Scramble Route, in the Upper Ranch of Hollister Hills SVRA with more sustainable and safer designated trail. The existing Hare Scramble Route is located in the open grassland area on clay soils. Due to the design, location and schedule of the Hare Scramble event, the current route is heavily impacted after the event due to highly saturated soil conditions. The proposed new trail was designed to follow proper trail construction techniques to enhance sustainabliity as outlined in the OHV BMP Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control.
