Document Description
On March 31, 2015, the City Council adopted the Coliseum Area Specific Plan and related general plan amendments, as well as certified the Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The Coliseum Area Specific Plan (CASP) is intended to provide both a short-term development plan for the accommodation of up to three new venues for the City's professional sports teams, as well as a longer term, 20- to 25-year, planning document. The CASP includes, and the EIR analyzes, a development program that could permit up to three new professional sports venues, 5,750 new residential units, and the addition of approximately eight million square feet of new office, light industrial, logistics and retail space. Additionally, transportation and infrastructure improvements are recommended to address infrastructure deficiencies.
