Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0352-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of Elk Grove Public Works Dept.
The Shed C Channel Improvement Project - East Reach is one of three components of the Shed C Channel Improvement Program (Program). The Program was identified in the City of Elk Grove's Storm Drain Master Plan is to modify the existing Shed C Channel to a multi-functional drainage corridor with enhanced natural stream and habitat values. The Shed C Channel Improvement Project - East Reach includes a low flow channel that meanders within a larger floodplain corridor providing flood storage and conveyance as well as an opportunity for the creation of wetlands habitat. The project is limited to the widening of the existing East Reach of Shed C Channel, the installation of two culverts, the installation of a prefabricated steel truss bridge, and the construction of four detention basins. The channel widening portion of the project includes grading to bring the channel to a 140-170 foot full bank width, with 3:1 slopes. The low flow channel will be approx. 30 feet wide. !02 will be removed as part of this project.
