Document Description
The project is limited to the replacement of a 40-foot long by 3-foot diameter corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culvert with a 5-foot invert below road level located on Paulson Road, reconstruction of the slopes and concrete headwalls at the culvert inlet and outlet, and repair of the roadway. The culvert is undermined at the base and has begun to collapse causing undermining of the roadway. Culvert replacement will require reconstruction of roadside slopes and concrete headwalls. The culvert will be replaced with an HDPE culvert of equivalent size or greater. Excavated areas will be backfilled with compacted soil, and exposed soils will be seeded with a native plant mix for erosion control purposes. No disturbance to riparian trees is expected. The CA Dept. of Fish and wildlife is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2012-0101-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Joel LaCagnin, Santa Cruz County Department of Public Works.
