Document Description
The WT Mitchell Group is proposing a transit-oriented mixed-use development on a 14.5-acre site at 180 El Camino Real. The project entails the removal of an existing shopping center and the construction of six new buildings, to include 222,000 sf of commercial space and 285 residential units, constructed in two phases. The project creates an urban statement with articulated facades and building forms that define the street edge, incorporating a mix of Victorian and classical elements -- the historic architectural styles of South San Francisco. The design includes a tower element on the south side as a landmark feature. Pedestrian amenities include decorative lights, benches, decorative signage, and street trees. The project provides a density and an attractive street frontage appropriate for the major thoroughfare of El Camino Real.
