Document Description
The U.S. Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit plans to conduct stream environment zone (SEZ) restoration and trail building and restoration work in the Angora Fire burn area. The trails work includes decommissioning 16.7 miles of trail and constructing 8.9 miles of new trail. SEZ restoration work includes restoring portions of Angora Creek, restoring Seneca Pond to a wetland complex, and stabilizing a gully in the Gardner Mountain Meadow. The Water Board will regulate discharges from the Project by: (1) granting coverage under the Water Board's General Waste Discharge Requirements and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activity in the Lake Tahoe Basin; (2) issuing Clean Water Act 401 Water Quality Certification; and (3) granting Basin Plan Prohibition Exemptions.
