Document Description
The Buena Vista Lagoon Enhancement Project would enhance the biological and hydrological functions and recreational values of Buena Vista Lagoon by addressing increased sedimentation and invasive vegetation encroachment, as well as resulting declining coastal biodiversity, degrading water quality, water circulation restriction, and increased vector concerns. The proposed project (Modified Saltwater Alternative, a feasible variation of the Saltwater and Hybrid alternatives analyzed in the Final EIR), would change the hydrologic regime from the existing freshwater system to a saltwater system to achieve the proposed habitat distribution for the Enhancement Project.
