Document Description
The proposed project is a new approximately 25,500 sf indoor County of Los Angeles animal care facility that will alleviate the high volume of animal control services at the existing Lancaster Animal Care Center and further serve the needs of communities in the eastern portion of Antelope Valley, in northern Los Angeles County. The facility is proposed on a 5.8-acre site to be acquired from the City of Palmdale by Los Angeles County for the construction/operation of the one-story facility, which includes visitor and employee parking. No livestock will be housed at the facility and no animals will be outdoors.
