Document Description
The County is revising the Community Plan to provide an updated comprehensive planning framework to improve and enhance the Moss Landing community. The development of the Community Plan has been overseen by the Moss Landing Community Plan Task Force, which drafted plan recommendations that were later incorporated into a policy guidance action by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors in 2009. In addition, Monterey County Planning has held three community meetings on the revised draft plan in May, August, and October 2012. The Community Plan update is available for review on the County's website: http://www.co.monterey.ca.us/planning/major. Major Components of the Community Plan include: - Updated Land Use Plan; - Environmentally sensitive habitat areas; - Effects of coastal erosion and sea level rise; - Design guidelines and development standards; - Water Supply and demand - Expansion of the sewer service area to include the Moss Landing Business Park site; and - Infrastructure and circulation plan and policy
