Document Description
Project involves the construction, operation, and maintenance, and decommissioning of a 280-megawatt solar power generating facility on approx. 2,367 acres of undeveloped grassland. The Project is composed of four main components: solar development areas, a transmission line corridor, an access road, and a utility corridor. The project is expected to result in incidental take of San Joaquin kit fox and CA tiger salamander, which are designated as threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of the two species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation, including temporary impacts to 213 acres and permanent impacts to 2,154 acres of SJKF and CTS habitat. Amendment No. 1 modifies the Project Description to clarify that decommissioning activities to not pertain to the PG&E-owned switching station, modifies the language pertaining to compliance monitoring to further clarify the Designated Biologists duties, modifies the language pertaining to night work to modify the activities allowed, modifies the language pertaining to security fence design to clarify fencing placement, and modifies the language to prevent entrapment of Covered Species by allowing additional alternatives.
