Trail maintenance activities on 3,900 linear feet of existing road or trail (including 2,720 linear feet on Conservancy land) to allow the established trail use to be of a standard suitable for inclusion in the Van Sickle Bi-State Park trail system. Activities include deadfall removal, limited vegetation trimming/removal (excluding removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees), establishing a consistent 18" - 24" wide native material surface, and limited hand grading to maintain a standard trail grade and remove surface obstacles. Two small trail sections (80 linear feet each) on Conservancy land will be diverted within 20 feet of existing trail to prevent seasonal surface flow from running along the trail and to reduce trail grade to limit surface erosion and meet trail standards.
