Document Description
The Santa Barbara Campus proposes to remove 19 mature trees and prune/maintain 102 trees located in the eucalyptus windrow aong Ocean Road on the west side of Main Campus. The 19 trees consists of 11 blue gum eucalyptus, 4 red ironbark eucalyptuses, two white ironbark eucalyptuses, one coast live oak, and one Monterey cypress. The remaining trees are a combination of the aforementioned trees plus silver dollar gum eucalyptus. The trees are approximately 87 to 97 years old, are approaching end of their lifespan, and have been determined to be unhealthy and unsafe to persons and property in the vicinity and are recommended for removal and maintenance by a certified arborist. Tree removal wuld occur outside the bird nesting season.
