Document Description
The project will be carried out in two phases in early March 2013. Phase 1 will include a short depth trench excavated into the levee crown to expose the cutoff wall. The trench will be approximately 4 ft. deep, 10 ft. long, and 3 ft. wide. Each trench will be stockpiled and backfilled the same day. In Phase 2, the existing cutoff walls will be drilled to determine to verify the consistency and full depth of the cutoff walls. The surfaces will be restored with an asphalt cold patch on paved surfaces and soil or gravel on non-paved surfaces.
