Document Description
The City of Sutter Creek is purposing to develop Area-1, consisting of approximately 9.8 acres of the site, as a "minehead" park with a trail and parking for recreational use while preserving historical mining features. The purpose of the project is to mitigate mine waste rock and impacted soils that exceed the project-specific human health risk criteria to minimize human exposure to arsenic, the primary contaminant of concern (COC) in Area-1 at the maximum, detected level of 1,900 milligrams per kilogram. The project activities are scheduled to commence in May 2013 and are expected to take approximately 30 days to complete.
