The Sahfter Intermodal Rail Facility Expansion Project is constructing 5,000 feet of lead track, 4,000 feet of runaround track, crossover connectivity between the lead and runaround tracks, four No. 9 turnouts, two No. 11 turnouts, and rail service upgrades as needed within the rail service boundaries for the purpose of connecting the existing intermodal rail extension within the Shafter Intermodal Facility.
