The Yosemite/Sequoia Resource Conservation and Development Council is requesting $18,667 in funding from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Proposition 84 Preservation of Ranches and Agricultural Lands Grant Program for minor improvements to rangelands to protect riparian areas from livestock impacts, while improving livestock distribution within the Long Range Allotment to limit livestock impacts, located in the Sierra National Forest (SNF). The Long Ridge Allotment is a U.S. Forest Service (USFS) grazing allotment used annually for spring forage from March through June by two ranchers.
