Document Description
The goal of the project is to restore the native Central CA Coast steelhead fishery in the Alameda Creek Watershed by building two fish ladders to provide passage around barriers that currently block fish migration. The project is located within a channelized, trapezoidal section of Alameda Creek that includes a flood control drop structure (also known as the BART Weir) and two inflatable dams, which are barriers to fish passage. One fish ladder will bypass and Rubber Dam No. 1 and the BART Weir, and the other fish ladder will bypass Rubber Dam No. 3, further upstream.
