The property owner proposes to construct a private airplane hangar on his property for storage of his personal aircraft in conjunction with Gasquet's Ward Airfield. The subject parcel is located on Forks Placer Mine Road which adjoins Ward Field. The zoning for the subject parcel is single family residential; the proposed airplane hangar is considered an accessory to the principal (residential) allowed use. The standard height and size restrictions for accessory buildings is 16-feet in height and 1,200 sf in area; exceeding these limits requires a use permit. The proposed hangar is indicated to be 3,360 sf in area and 15-feet in height.
