Document Description
The SLVWD, in conjunction with the Scotts Valley Water District, proposes to construct six emergency interties spread across approximately 4.14 acres to connect the water service areas of Santa Cruz Water Department, SVWD, SLVWD, Mount Hermon Association, Inc., and Lompico County Water District. The interties system would consist of water transmission pipelines varying in width from 8 to 12 inches that would primarily be located within existing rights-of-way and five concrete masonry unit pump stations, with pitched roofs (not exceeding 12 feet in height). Each pump station would house 2 or 3 pumps ranging in capacity/size from 150 to 700 gallons per minute (gpm). These pipelines and pump stations would allow transfer of water up or down gradient in the event of an unforeseen emergency.
