Document Description
The existing County Road 12 Bridge (22C0130) was built in 1930 as a two-lane, three-span arch, and reinforced concrete slab with parabolic soffits founded on reinforced concrete pier walls and abutments. The bridge is approximately 30 feet long and 23 feet wide. The purpose of the Replacement Project is to replace the structurally deficient, scour critical bridge with an approximately 36-foot 6 inches long, 34-foot 10 inches wide, single span, flat slab structure supported by diaphragm-type abutments with cast-in-drilled-hole piles. The new bridge will meet the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials guidelines for design, construction, and maintenance. Caltrans Standard Type 732 concrete barrier with metal beam guardrails will be used at the four corners of the bridge. Bridge approaches will be paved.
