Present Land Use
The Los Coyotes Club occupies the 210 acre site and the proposed Los Coyotes Country Club Development Plan improvements are proposed for four areas of the Country Club that total 21.8 acres. The surrounding land uses include single-family detached and multi-family homes in Buena Park and the Ralph B. Clark Regional Park (County of Orange) to the north, single-family detached homes in the City of Fullerton to the east, Malvern Ave. and single family detached and multi-family homes in Buena Park to the south and single-family detached, multi-family, and Emery Elem. school in Buena Park to the west. The land use designation is Open Space and the zoning is (OR) Recreational Open Space.
The project includes the demolition of the existing management office space, former swimming pool and tennis courts north of the clubhouse to construct 125 private residences and 10,000 sf of space to the clubhouse. The 10,000 sf of space to the clubhouse consists of 5,000 sf of gathering/event space, 1,000 sf of private meeting space and 4,000 sf of country club management office space. The project will remove the six existing tennis courts and construct two replacement courts and surface parking in the area northeast of the proposed residences. An existing golf practice area will be enhanced and graded, including paving a dirt golf cart path. The Recirculated EIR addresses new land uses and traffic information only.
