Document Description
This Project involves development of 18.7 acres of vacant land into a new subdivision consisting of 108 single family lots. Project activities will include grading of the entire Project site, removing vegetation, installing underground infrastructure, building construction, paving, landscaping, and improving a 200-footwide drainage channel along the southerly boundary of the Project site. The Project will result in incidental take of 14 western Joshua trees (Yucca brevifolia), a species which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.

The Pacific Agave Project (Project) is located at the northwest corner of 60th Street West and Avenue J, west of the Antelope Valley State Prison, within the City of Lancaster, Los Angeles County. The Project site is bounded by vacant land to the north, 60th Street West to the east, an existing drainage channel and Avenue J to the south, and 62nd Street West and housing to the west.
