Document Description
The proposed project consists of the installation and operation of a 1.5 megawatt electricity-generating wind turbine at the City's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) with the purpose of offsetting electricity usage required by sewage treatment plant operations. This application of a wind turbine is widely used for producing electric power on site at homes, farms, and businesses that are already served by the utility grid. This grid-connected system would serve the City by offsetting energy consumed from the grid. The purpose of the proposed project is to provide a sustainable supply of electrical energy for the WRF and lead to a net reduction of energy costs for the City.
