Document Description
Universal Health Services is proposing the expansion and renovation of the 47-year-old Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC or the Hospital). The Hospital sits on more than 9 acres of UHS owned property located at 800 S. Main Street within the City of Corona, CA. The project is in response to community need and entails the phased construction and long-term operation of an expanded CRMC which will provide a total of thirty emergency rooms and 241 hospital beds for acute care, 50 licensed non-acute patient beds at full project build out by 2035, and approximately 490,000 total sf of medical-related uses for the expanded Hospital and new adjacent Medical Office Building. The project would involve a multi-phased expansion of the CRMC, thereby implementing UHS Inc. goals and growth strategies for full build-out of the CRMC by 2035. In addition, the partnership between CRMC and a local medical clinic group (to be determined at a later time) will serve to improve the delivery of health care to the greater Corona valley.
