Document Description
Replace the cedar shingle roof with in kind materials on the restroom bullding in Huckleberry Campground at Big Basin Redwood State Park to protect the integrity of the structure. Work will:
* Remove the existing cedar shingles and dry rotted wood.
* Replace roof framing system with 4" by 6" rafters and 2" by 8" T & G pine and sheathing
* Install two plies of 36" - 30# ASTM underlayment felt over the existing wood substrate
* Install a self-adhesive rubber-bitumen membrane breathable barrier
* Replace shingles with Fire Treated cedar shingles
* Install zinc strips at the top of the roof to retard growth of moss
