Document Description
In order to preserve and protect the historic "plan fountain" at the Hearst San Simeon State Historic Monument, this project will repair leaks and damage to the fountain caused by oak roof intrusion. Work will: * Raise the fountain using a chain hoist, set up scaffolding, and remove existing grout mortar, base pan and plumbing. * Install a new cast stone base, set in mortar, with latex caulking applied at the joints. * Reinstall the pan statue, repalce the plumbing with braided steel tubing, and re-grout the joints.
