Document Description
Construct a shaded fuel break within fifty feet of both sides of Mattole Road. The project will provide the Humboldt Redwood State Park fire protection for the largest continuous stand of Old Growth redwoods in the world. Hazardous fuel loading will be greatly reduced. Emergency services and evacuation access for fire control and emergency response will be imprved. Site disturbance will be limited to minor modification of vegetation. The project will include limbing, pruning and brushing the aea.
