SAA#1600-2011-0247-R5 - The Permittee proposes to remove accumulated sediments from an eroding hillside and a slide, by excavating the shale sediment within the creek channel only. No material or vegetation shall be removed from the banks. Work will occur in four areas, 1) Debris and sediments from the center line of the channel north of the road culvert for a linea ristance of 1500 feet; 2) Sediment will be cleared 150 yards south of the road culvert, 6-feet deep, matching the grade of the sediments removed by the County, and gradually rising toonly 1-foot deep at both ends of the project site; 3) Sediments (140 cubic yards) will be removed from an off-line debris basin on the sourth side of the road, matching the original grade; and 4) A flat farm field will be cleared of sediments that generated sediment-laden sheet flow downstream of the project site. This project is part of a 3-way law suit and is required by a court order.
