Document Description
The project is limited to the replacement of an existing pier. The existing pier shall be removed during low water levels. Existing cement footings shall be left, and existing wooden and steel posts shall be cut off at the level of the footings, using hand tools. Twelve 10 3/4" hollow steel footings shall be installed with a "drop hammer" pile driver working from the water side off of an amphibious boat. The pile driving phase of the project shall take 2-3 days. A barge pile driver shall be used. The pier platform itself shall be constructed of synthetic decking. The only access from the land shall be crews on foot using hand tools.
