Document Description
The request is for approval of a Use Permit for a variety of industrial uses including an asphalt concrete plant with three 30,000 gallon asphalt tanks, a Portland cement concrete plant, an aggregate processing plant including crushing, washing, and screening, wash water recycling ponds, a lime treatment plant for the aggregate, an aggregate storage area, a construction material recycling plant, metal storage and recycling, wood product storage, wood chipping and wood chip storage, hay storage and wholesales, a 1,000-gallon diesel fuel tank, miscellaneous outdoor storage, a contractor's yard, a 2,000 sf office building, a caretaker's quarters, and loading and unloading associated with a railroad spur. The proposed hours of operation would be 24 hours per day, Monday through Saturday. Typical hours would be 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. This project would generate 28,800 truck trips per year at an average of 125 round trips per day. The maximum round trips per day would be 750. The site was formerly used as a lumber mill, and has an existing 65,000 sf metal building. Otherwise it has been grated flat and much of the site has be surfaced with concrete or gravel.
