VTA is proposing to provide Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) improvements along 17.6 miles of El Camino Real between the SAP Center in San Jose and the Palo Alto Transit Center in Palo Alto in the cities of San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Los Altos, and Palo Alto. BRT is a high-quality, high-speed form of bus transit that provides services and amenities similar to light rail but at a much lower cost.
