Document Description
The NID's Cunningham Siphon Realignment Project entails the replacement of an aging and unreliable techite pipeline with a new 24" diameter inverted siphon pipeline along a new alignment. The proposed Project will also include the encasement of a 700 foot section of open canal, along the existing Rattlesnake Canal, with an 8 inch pipeline at the terminus of the Project. This will correct erosion problems within this section of the canal and improve access for NID. It is proposed that the new siphon pipeline will follow a private driveway (14398 Dog Bar Road) to the east edge of Dog Bar Road (approximately 1,100 feet) in Nevada County, CA. From there it will follow the east edge of the roadway to a point where the existing Cunningham Siphon Pipeline crosses under Dog Bar Road, a distance of approximately 3,500 feet.
