Document Description
The proposed project would offset the current use of imported water with a combined total of 21,000 AFY for groundwater replenishment in the Central Basin via the Montebello Forebay. An AWT plant would be constructed for treatment of tertiary treated recycled water from San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant prior to recharge via spreading. Influent/effluent diversion structures would connect the AWT plant to the existing outfall pipeline allowing advanced treated water to be blended with tertiary treated recycled water prior to spreading. Additionally, a proposed brine would be constructed from the AWT plant to connect with an existing sewer pipeline in Beverly Road.
