The proposed site is bounded by the Rio Hondo Pump Station to the north, the San Gabriel River to the east, a self-storage warehouse facility to the south, and the San Gabriel River Parkway to the west. The proposed project would allow WRD to offset the current use of 21,000 acre-feet of imported water per year with a blend of tertiary-and advanced-treated recycled water for groundwater replenishment in the Central Groundwater Basin.
