Note: Extended Note: Recirculated The proposed AWTP would provide additional filtration, reverse osmosis, and advanced oxidation disinfection treatment prior to recharging groundwater. The proposed site is bounded by the Rio Hondo Pump Station to the north, the San Gabriel River to the east, a self-storage warehouse facility to the south, and the San Gabriel River Parkway to the west. The proposed project would allow WRD to offset the current use of 21,000 acre-feet of imported water per year with a blend of tertiary-and advanced-treated recycled water for groundwater replenishment in the Central Groundwater Basin.
